All,
With apologies for the short notice, the club's Winter Championships 2014 will be held on Sunday the 16th of February. We will meet and set up at 12:00 noon, and begin shooting shortly after. Please be there for 12:00.
The round will be a double Frostbite. A Frostbite is 3 dozen arrows at 30 metres on an 80 cm face, using 10-zone scoring. A double Frostbite is...one Frostbite then another! We'll shoot ends of three arrows.
Awards are for scores over the double Frostbite. There will be awards for the various bow styles, age groups and genders, and the overall trophy will be awarded on handicap. To be eligible for the handicap trophy, you must have submitted three Frostbite scores to David King. So, best to get down to Ovenden Park when you can to shoot the rounds.
We'll take a break between Frostbites. We're on a pasty promise from Kathryn and Dave, so would appreciate knowing how many will turn up. Could you please advise whether you'll be there?
Last year we had to postpone the shoot by a week when we were hit with heavy snow. Let's hope that doesn't happen again, but if it does we'll postpone until the weather's good enough.
