In the small hours of this morning, someone created two new accounts on this board in the name of a club member - "jayney" and "jh". The email address used was in the name of that member.
I approved the accounts, but later spotted something odd. So I checked with Jayne, and she said that she did not create these accounts, and that is not one of her email addresses.
The accounts have now been disabled, and Jayne is now aware that someone who knows her nickname and date of birth has created accounts while posing as her.
The email address had been deleted by the time I sent a challenge to it, but from the IP addresses used when creating the accounts I have a very clear idea of who is responsible.
As a result, we'll only approve new accounts when the email address is one that we know to be genuine. If you decide to register with an email address other than the one I already know, please advise me in person or by phone.
